Our age groups
Infant
Infants are always learning and exploring their environment and need a secure, nurturing space to do so. Before enrollment, I ask parents to provide a detailed feeding, diapering and sleeping routine schedule so that I can give infants equal care and stability similar to home. All Infants have toys & materials that are their own, separate from others. Infants are given frequent holding, cuddling, talking to and singing as well as ample opportunity to enjoy well-supervised time with other children and playtime outdoors. Each day we will communicate with families about any changes or new growth developments that have happened!
Toddler
Toddlers have many milestones ahead of them and we help them reach those each step of the way. Whether it be potty training or learning how to have scheduled rest times with the group. Toddlers will begin to transition to a daily routine that is best for each individual child as well as participating in group activities and adventures. New sensory, environments and materials will be introduced. They will begin to experience peer relationships and imaginative play. Toddlers will begin to truly divulge into greater interests and explorations, with their personality shining thru. Independence goals are started as well, with sitting at a table for group meals as well as individual hand washing to putting on coats and shoes!
Pre-school
Preschoolers are now diving deeper into new areas of growth, as they begin to learn more about classroom dynamics. Both the child and I will begin to see how they learn and how best to accommodate continued growth that suits them best. The world becomes even more curious to them, with more emotions to understand and friendships to explore. Preschoolers will begin to explore more facts about the world, ask more questions, and of course play! It is an exciting age to participate in.
